S2E28 - Gandalf the Red Part 4 - The God that Imitates Itself

In this episode we return to Carl Jung's Red Book. We go back into Jung's psyche to discourse with the Spirit of the Depths and with Jung's Soul. We find ourselves in civil war; a place where death is inevitable. It is this inevitability, however, which guarantees immortality, because death always begets life. We struggle with paradox, fear and ambiguity and find on the other side an image of ourselves that is also an image of God. Next we see that same spirit in others and in the world around us. Ever closer we come to the secret, to the truth of what God is. Look within, find God there and it will seize you. Do you want it to seize you?

This episode is the exciting conclusion of our 3-part series on Sir Humphry Davy's book "Last Days of a Philosopher." In this installment we get to know "The Unknown," the unnamed and mysterious stranger we introduced in the last episode. We question time, recoil at the knowledge that everything is complicit in death, decay, decomposition and entropy. The good news, we learn, is the promise that by understanding and obeying change we can learn to command it. When we do, we will be as gods, wielding the power of nature and transforming the cosmos and ourselves as we desire. Gene editing, terraforming...this is only the beginning.

This episode picks up where we left off, right after Sir Humpry Davy tells us his crazy sci-fi revelation of traveling to space with a sun-being and observing the beings existing on other planets. Here we introduce a mysterious stranger who adds a scientific filter for Davys vision. They discuss sentience and matter, god and man, how they exist and in what relationship until bit by bit a theory of Panpsychism emerges. 

S2E23 - Gandalf the Red Part 3 - What the Murdered Hero Means

This episode picks up where we left off in Jung's "Red Book." Jung had burrowed within himself and suffered there until he succeeded in manifesting his Soul. But just as he succeeded in this, he realized that he and his Soul are in civil war. Jung (and all of us) are at war within ourselves, perpetually. But why?  To die, so that you can be reborn. And what does this even mean? Find out here!

From the guy that invented the Davy Safety Lamp and presided over the Royal Society of England, from a guy knighted by the Monarch of Great Britain, we hear accounts of aliens, of space travel, of fire-beings! You read that correctly. We even hear evidence of the existence of Black Holes...150 years before the first one was discovered.

S2E19 - Gandalf the Red Part 2 - Projection and Integration of Soul

In this episode we pick up where we left off in Carl Jung's "Red Book." The spirits within continue to speak with us as we sink deeper and deeper into ourselves. Jung traces the flight of his soul from other people to events in the world, right back into the labyrinth of his own thoughts. His soul was living everywhere except for within himself. So this is where we tread today, down, down, into the wilderness of Jung's Self. It is a desert there, desolate and terrifying, but there is hope and it rises!
